Service Overview
Intermec's Global Software Services team provides a Jump Start program for partners and customers that are experienced software developers, but new to developing on Intermec mobile devices. A typical Jump Start program starts with three to five days of on-site informal training on the Intermec Developer Library (IDL) and the ins and outs of developing on an Intermec device. In addition to training on the IDL, the software consultant will provide guidance on topics such as power management, memory management, database issues, peripheral integration, differences between O/S versions, communications, printing and data capture. Best practices in mobile software development will be shared.
The Intermec Software Consultant can also help your development team lay out the initial design of your mobile application, and can advise on how to optimize the business logic, the GUI development, the database file formats, and the communications strategy. We are experts at data capture and can also advise on how to integrate RFID into the application.
After the initial on-site kick off, the program will allocate a set number of hours of on-going telephone support. This will provide your development team with direct access to an experienced mobile developer that can answer your development questions quickly and effectively during your initial development.
