Application documentation helps ensure that performance levels of new systems achieved at launch are sustainable over time. Customers who implement data collection technology on a large scale, over multiple locations, will want their end-user operators to be able to use the new technology confidently and effectively in order to support for optimal positive impact on systems and business performance. Although those end-user operators may be highly competent and effective from project go-live, staff turnover and other time-related factors tend to degrade collective productivity, without sufficient reference documentation of the customer’s new technology application. One of the chief determiners of project launch and long-term success is end-user operator buy-in and support of new procedures and processes. Why risk jeopardizing the success of an implementation project simply because sufficient documentation was not provided?
